Kids!First |
| Kids!First is the children's ministry of Jackson First. Our weekly programs are designed to connect with today's kids in a way that helps them see that God is a relevant part of their everyday lives, and makes them want to come back and bring their friends. Kids!First is targeted for all kids in kindergarten through fifth grade. The activities and lessons are specifically prepared to best teach children ages 5-10. | |
| Younger or older children are invited to participate in the other ministries designed for their age groups. Parents are always welcome to come in with their kids. | |
| Kids do just what adults do in their worship service - worship God and learn more about Him! We believe children can and should know who God is and how to have a personal relationship with Him through Jesus. We also believe children are an integral part of the body of Christ right now! They do not have to be grown up to matter to God. | |
| All kids come to the Kids!First room, where they stop at the registration table to check in and receive a name tag. Once inside the room, kids are directed to a small group, based on their grade. In their small groups, kids participate in activities and play games together, and have a chance to hang out with their friends (and even make new ones!) From there, the kids all come back together for the Large Group program, which includes music and Bible teaching. After the Large Group time, kids get back in their small groups, and spend time learning how to apply the Biblical truths presented in the teaching to their own lives. | |
| We believe children learn best in relationships. We serve a personal God, and kids need to experience His personal nature through relationships with other Christians. Our small groups consist of 8-12 kids and are led by committed adult Christians who love kids and are willing to 'go deep' to help kids understand our truly awesome God. Small groups are also a great way for kids to get to know each other well and discover that they have a place they belong. | |
